How much space do you need?
2metres x 2metres
How is it best to time things?
I arrive 45mins before I am due to start, play for 45mins, take a 30 min break and play for another 45minutes then pack up.
Can I pick the bands playlist?
Yes, you can make suggestions of the material you like and pick out favorites you would like me to play from the playlist or particular songs you would like me to stay away from, but in general, it works a lot better if I put together sets that suit the evening and the order in which the songs should be played, as I know how to run a smooth set.
Where will you travel to?
London, Essex, Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Hertford, Cambridge, Oxford, Buckinghamshire, Bedford, Berkshire, and any other location within 50 miles of London city centre. Locations further afield are available at additional cost.
Can I see you play live?
Yes at ‘Roast’ in Borough Market in London on Mondays 6.30pm-10pm and Thursdays 9.30pm-midnight.
Will you learn our special song?
Yes new song requests can be done with an extra fee.
Is the video on your website a true reflection of you?
No, I’m much better live ;)
How do I book you?
Through Alive Network Entertainment Agency
Are you able to DJ in between sets?
Yes for an extra fee.
Can we make DJ requests in advance to my event?
Yes.
Can we use your sound system for speeches?
Yes.
What equipment do you use?
2 x Mackie 450’s, 2 x Mackie 350’s, 1xlarge Sub, 8 track Alesis multi mixer, relevant Mics, ipad, stands, a stomp box and an Avalon gold series electro acoustic guitar.
Do you have lights?
Yes 4 x floor LED Kams.
How long do you play for?
Normally 2 x 45min sets but more on request and for an extra fee.
What time do you start and finish?
Whatever time is relevant (whether it’s for a drinks reception, during a meal or for after dinner entertainment) and I will finish and leave after my last set. (the entirety of my time at the event must not last longer than 6 hours, if it does, an extra fee will incur).
How long do you take to set up?
30 mins if solo, 1 hour if with a DJ also.
Can I provisionally book you?
Yes.
Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with you?
For 1 song, sure, but then it’s probably best if I keep it rolling from there.
What will the band wear?
Whatever is suitable for the event, whether its black dinner dress, cocktail dress, casual floral dress etc.
Does the band have PAT and PLI certificates?
Yes.
Why should I book LJ?
I have over 10 years experience and can fit into any situation and cater to all needs, I have an extensive repertoire and the best of both worlds as I am perfect as light background entertainment for a chilled event but also an expert at interacting with the audience and getting everyone involved and up dancing. It’s guaranteed to be a great evening of enetertainment.
How much does it cost to book you?
The standard is £275 ( but I prefer to do 2 x 60mins for £325).

Does LJ have any specific requirements?
When playing upbeat sets where people are dancing, I need to be a safe distance away from the people dancing or else someone will need to keep an eye on making sure that no one falls into my mic stand or bumps into it, as it is very dangerous for me and can result in facial damage.
What type/size venues are you able to play at?
From very small intimate venues like a small marquis or house even to very large venues like concert halls.
How loud will the band be?
As loud as you would like it to be for your event, it can add to the atmosphere and be nice background music or it can be more of a feature performance that will get everyone up dancing.
What is the band power requirement?
2x normal plug sockets.
